It is because we believe that it is very important to help this rare and endangered breed that we keep pedigree sows to produce litters of Oxford Sandy and Black piglets. In a typical litter of piglets (averaging about 10) there will be both pedigree and non-pedigree stock. Those piglets who match the breed standards will be registered with the British Pig Association whilst those who do not will live happily in the fields maturing into the perfect porcine product.
