Adopt a Pig Now!

“From field to fork, from pasture to plate - tracking your food every step of the way”

There are 3 easy steps to adopting-a-pig today...

Step 1 ~ Fill in your details

Using our form which you can download below, fill in the sections of the form which you want to. Important bits are your address, address of the actual adopter (if it is a present for someone this may be different) and your email / phone number. The other sections like naming the pig can wait until later if you wish.

If the adoption is a present for someone then we can send the welcome pack to your work address so that they don’t know anything about it. We wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise! If this is the case then please note this on the form.

Step 2 ~ the Deposit

We ask for a £50 deposit as a cheque made payable to   “D J Turnbull”. This is deducted from the final amount payable at the end, that is the amount paid for the weight of meat from your pig. If you decide not to eat your pig then we keep this deposit.

Step 3 ~ Send it off!

Once you have filled in the form and included the deposit then please send it all off to us. We have one address in Yorkshire and one in Oxford so please drop us an email here to check which one.

Why do I have to check which address to use? There is a very simple answer for this - we have one address in Yorkshire where Duncan lives during most of the year and where the pigs are. We also have an address in Oxford where Duncan is a student. Checking with us which address to use before you send the form is a good idea as then we can get the adoption started quicker and be guarenteed to get the return form. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

What happens then?

Well, firstly we will email you to confirm that we have received your letter and cheque and welcome you to the adopt-a-pig scheme. Then we will send you a huge information pack with postcards, information, pictures and various other porcine related goods... If you are giving the adoption as a present then you can wrap it up and pass it onto them - the ideal gift!
